On the back of the postcard is printed in green lettering "POST" and then a circular emblem which has the word "EMPIRE" at the top and then a lion and a Kangaroo either side of a camera on a stand. After the emblem is "CARD".
In the top right hand corner is a red Western Australia one penny postage stamp, which has a black swan in the centre.
On the back of the postcard at the top handwritten in blue ink is "About 1907 Photo - PIESSE'S MILL (FLOUR) on right" and underneath the word "POST" handwritten in blue ink is "from Bertha Beasley to Amog Jamieson my wife's mother"
On the back of the postcard stamped in purple ink is "A.&J. COATE 21 South Coast Hwy, ALBANY W.A. 6330".
On the back of the postcard handwritten in black ink is "Dear A, Do you remember this place it is a bit different to when you saw it. The new shops are all let now so thing are looking up here alright, We are all haveing our Photog's taken tomorrow. I hope we don't break to many glasses, best love from all hope it is not too hot down there Goodnight BB"
On the back of the postcard the address is "Mrs A. Jamieson Care Mrs McNamara No 7 Murray Street Perth"
