Historical information

This wool press was shipped to Geraldton in mid 1885 and taken east to Sandsprings Station, property of the Sewell family. Here it remained until 1983, when it was taken back to Geraldton and restored by Rupert Weller and his Geraldton Senior High School class before being installed in the former Laundry building at this museum.
