A single sheet of A4 parchment with a watercolour painting of the the Old Coombe brickyard on the site of Dale Cottages showing the kilns, South West Highway in the foreground, the tramway from the quarry to the right and the tunnel under William Street. A steam train is passing on the Bunbury line in the background.

There is an incomplete drawing of the same scene on the back.

Historical information

Painted in 1985 by the residents as an exercise to record the historic unit in the park bounded by The Grove.

The mine, trainline, and brickworks were defunct at the time of painting.
