POCKET WATCH CHAIN

1923
Overview

A silver chain in two parts, the longer section has a clasp on the end to attach to the watch.

The shorter section has two brass coloured badges attached to the chain with brass rings. One is almost circular in shape with a pattern on the back and text on the front, the other is square in shape, plain on the back with a central shield with a wreath of leaves either side and a glass bead in the centre.

The two sections of chain are joined together with a toggle.

The text on the badge reads: [K.A.S. / Annual Show 1923 / awarded for / Pen of 3 Heifers / Section B Class 13 / T. BRIGGS.]

Beneath the text near the bottom of the badge are three small boxes in what appears to be a markers mark or a stamp indicating the purity of the metal.
