Overview

A wooden levelling tool consisting of a wooden body and two glass bubble vials. These vials contain a liquid (often alcohol or mineral spirits) and an air bubble. When the level is placed on a surface, the bubble will settle between calibration marks on the vial, indicating whether the surface is level or plumb (vertical).
