CHILDREN WORKING AT THE MYRTLE BENN FLORA AND FAUNA SANCTUARY

Overview

The Myrtle Benn Flora and Fauna Sanctuary was establish in with much lobbying from Mrs Myrtle Benn and others. Mrs Benn made it part of her school curriculum to take children to the Sanctuary for working bees - planting species, weeding, trail management and other activities. The children also learnt the names of many native local plants which have held them in good stead for wildflower weekend activities. Pictures include a group of student teachers at the Sanctuary.
