Sapper Edward 'Ned' Pries 1882-1964.
Only son of Arthur and Lucy Pries nee Guerin, Ned enlisted in January 1918 at Blackboy Hill Camp. He attended Wireless Training School in Sydney before embarking on board HMAT A14 Euripides to serve for the Divisional Signal Company General Reinforcements. Ned returned to Australia on medical grounds and was discharged in November 1919.
