Overview

Black and white image of two children standing at the Subiaco Humes site with stacks of large pipes in the background resting on sandbags. The girl is wearing a white dress and sandals and is standing with her arms by her side in the centre of the image. The boy is wearing a shirt, shorts and sandals, and is standing behind and slightly to the left of the girl looking off to the side.

There is a small concrete wall to the left of the image at the end of a stack of pipes that have been wrapped. The pipes further to the back in the right of the image are not wrapped. Large corrugated buildings can be seen in the background.

Historical information

These photographs collected for 'Subiaco Industry' exhibition at the Museum 1998. Photographs collected from Humes, Subiaco, now at Welshpool and owned by CSR. Humes one of many industries which moved, or closed prior to Subi Centro development. See P99.52a,b.
