In the top left hand corner, there are a troop of soldiers marching in full uniform with guns over their shoulders. There is an elaborate title and a verse in white print. On the back are the usual postcard markings.
Part of an extensive collection of postcards received by Vera VERGE from her sweetheart Private Edward Charles MOUCHEMORE 6351 who served with the 28th Battalion during the First World War. They met in Albany while attending the same school. Edward was killed in action at Bullecourt, France on 3 October 1918 at the age of 22. The collection was kept by Vera throughout her life and donated to the Princess Royal Fortress by a family member in 2019.
