POSTCARD: THE TURNER FAMILY
The sepia image is a studio portrait of the Turner family, comprising Mr and Mrs Turner and their three sons. Mrs Turner wears a white lace blouse, pearls and a bracelet, a dark skirt and boots. She is seated, holding the hand of Bert who is standing in between her and his father. Mr Turner, also seated, wears a suit, shirt with stiff collar, tie and boots. Little Gerald, wearing a baby coat, sits on his knee. The two other boys are wearing identical dark sweaters, shorts, socks and boots. Handwritten on the back: 'To wish you every happiness for Xmas and prosperity for the New Year, from your ever sincere friends, F. and V. Turner, Bert 7, Fred 4-1/2, Gerald 2.'
