A coloured photo of Toodyay Primary School staff (from the Toodyay District High School campus) taken outside the former school - then used by the Uniting Church.
The staff are in front of a wire mesh fence, behind which is a metal sign of mustard colour, which reads in large blue and white print - "School 1887 to 1954".
Part of the main building is in the background as well as large shrubs.

Taken shortly after the Toodyay District High School fire in 1993 when classes were held temporarily in various locations around Toodyay.

On reverse of the photo is affixed a typed label with the names of the teachers.

Contextual Information

Transportable classrooms were, in due course, erected at the school site until permanent buildings were constructed the following year.
Affected were 275 primary students, 100 high school students, and 27 full-time teaching staff.
