Historical information

Grassy's name was Harold Alfred Haddleton, his father was Charlie Haddleton and his mother was Mary Ann Haddleton nee Quartermaine. They had two sons, Robert Prescott Haddleton and Eric Ashley Haddleton. It is thought that this photograph was taken in 1926, when Grassy was twenty five years old.

Inscriptions and markings

On the back of the postcard handwritten in blue ink is "Grassy".

On the back of the postcard printed in black lettering is "POST CARD" and underneath this line are two columns with headings "CORRESPONDENCE" and "ADDRESS ONLY" and in the top right hand corner a square with the words "KODAK" at the top and bottom and the words “AUSTRAL” on the sides. This square marks the position to put a stamp.

On the left hand vertical side of the postcard is stamped in black ink "F.Martyn, Katanning."
