Overview

She holds baby Dianne who is wearing a smocked dress with coloured embroidery on the chest and sleeves. Her father Arthur is seen at the back leaning on the chair in a brown suit with blue tint shirt and tie.

The reverse of the photograph has written in blue pen: 'Baby Dianne Colvin/ Parents Arthur + Eileen Colvin/ Born Kensington Hosp / Subiaco / 6th June 1945.

The original photograph was a black and white image, hand coloured.

Historical information

Dianne Colvin (later Edge) was born at Kensington Private Maternity Hospital on 6 June 1945. Her parents Arthur and Eileen Colvin lived at Browne Street in Subiaco. Her father was a policeman stationed at the Subiaco Police Station on Bagot Road.
