At the top of medal is small metal ring, through which one link, attaches medal to a bar. This bar, and another above are linked together by a red, white and blue striped ribbon. On the bars are inscribed 'Fear God and Honour the King'. A single pin is attached to the top bar, and this serves to attach the medal to clothing.
