ECOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT AND MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS
2003This document was the result of a study by Challenger TAFE. It recognises the value of the native bushland in the area on which the golf club was built.
Quoting from the introduction section of this 47 page, A4 spiral bound document: "The first aim of this project is to assess the present day condition of the bushland flora and fauna environment contained within the golf course precinct at Melville Glades Golf Club. The second aim is to provide recommendations for the remediation and/or preservation of those truly local sites and species in a manner which will complement the game of golf and the true nature of a recreational facility."
The study was undertaken by Challenger TAFE's Horticulture and Environmental Science Skills Centre based at Murdoch Campus. Two lecturers and nine Diploma students completed the study.
