Overview

Features painted international maritime signals flags around top half which says 'MORE by luck than good management' plus has a characture of small swan wearing sunglasses walking on water infront of a '38' on a yellow painted wooden door. A rectangular sign fixed to front reads 'Employees Only' above a metal information sign.

Historical information

HMAS Perth (II) was decommissioned in October 1999 and gifted to the City of Albany for a recreational dive wreck; being scuttled on 24 November 2001. Prior to the scuttling, the City removed objects as part of preparing an ‘on-shore’ interpretive centre as per the agreement conditions by the State Government of Western Australia.
