Statement of significance

A Souvenir Program for the Opening Ceremony for the Armadale District Hall in 1936. As the local community grew, a new and larger hall was needed. Building the new hall represents the role of local government in providing expected infrastructure to meet the local community expectations. The opening of the hall also represented one of the largest investments by the Road Board in a community facility as it was meant to be a statement building showing the growth and prosperity of the district.
