Inscriptions and markings

On the back of the postcard handwritten in dark ink is "Dear Mrs Murray As a small token of gratitude for the Most generous help Given me during our recent Queen Carnival Yours sincerely Gertrude Grover Indinup 1916".

On the back of the postcard printed in black show lettering "POST CARD" and underneath this line are two columns with a heading for the left column of "CORRESPONDENCE" and the right hand column of “ADDRESS ONLY" and in the top right hand corner a square with the words "KODAK" at the top and bottom and the words “AUSTRAL” on the sides. This square marks the position to put a stamp. In the bottom right hand corner printed in black italic lettering is "Ruskin Studio, Perth"
