On the back of the postcard hand written in pencil is "?eariet We able get denim suits & white hats the other day so someone suggested having this photo taken. There are always about 12 photographers knocking about the camp and these only cost 6. The smile is rather broad Someone cracked a joke and the chap took us before I was ready Heaps of Love Horace".
On the back of the postcard handwritten in pencil in the top right hand corner is "1918".
On the back of the postcard printed in black show lettering is "POST CARD" and underneath this line are two columns with headings "CORRESPONDENCE" and "ADDRESS ONLY" and in the top right hand corner a square with the words "KODAK" at the top and bottom and the words “AUSTRAL” on the sides. This square marks the position to put a stamp.
