c. 1936A collection of twenty printing plates produced by Batelier Bros, commercial artists and printers in Albany during the early part of the twentieth century. The two brother advertised themselves as both commercial artists, photographers and later printers from 1905 into the 1930's. The series of images here are an example taken from a plate made up of a montage of scenes from the 193? Albany Grand Prix.
Part of a large donation made by the then Town of Albany to the Albany Historical Society in 1968.

The images shown were reproduced by scanning and then manipulating with open source imaging tools as the only viable alternative to the now largely inaccessible original lithographic printing process.
