GOLFER TIMBER CARVING

Overview

The "Golfer" timber carving which was previously mounted on the lounge wall behind the presentation lecturn (as shown in the attachment) has been a feature at the club since 1973. It can now be seen in the entry foyer of the club.
A plaque is mounted beside the carving.This describes how past President Murray Day acquired and donated the carving. The description was prepared in July 2020 by Max Hannah in association with previous member Don Moran to explain the origins of the carving.
