Replica cobb and co coach

Overview

A maroon replica cobb and co coach with yellow wheels. The coach body rests on leather springs, there are brakes on the rear wheels and a round bell on the drivers footrest. It has vinyl window blinds, 2 lamp holders and 1 whip holder.

Historical information

This coach was made by Col Ferguson in Toowoomba, Queensland, in 1969. On the 150th anniversary of British colonisation, Lew Whiteman loaned the coach for a re-enactment of the mail run from Albany to Perth. The Whiteman Collection also features a half-sized replica Cobb & Co mail coach, which looks very similar.
