Overview

Six black and white photos of the Subiaco Infant Health Centre, Hamersley Road, mounted together in windows on cream border on black frame with glass over photos.

a) External view of building, taken from across the road, showing wire and iron fence with double gates in front and sign stating 'City of Subiaco, Infant Health Centre'. The building has a brick porch and glass front doors, with a small house or shed visible behind. Many pine trees are visible behind the building.

b) Consulting Room. Internal view showing bench top with baby scales, desk and cupboards.

c) Test Feeding Area consists of two cubicles with curtains pulled across, with a hand basin with two taps under a window with vertical blinds.

d) Waiting Room. View of the spacious area with double glass doors, with seats/benches, pot plant and a circular mat (?) with a design of a baby-carrying stork.

e) Toddlers Room. This room has French windows with patterned curtains and a fireplace, and many posters decorating the room. Stand-on scales and a tall blackboard are features, along with tables and chairs.

f) Waiting Room Cubicles. Two of the three cubicles are near the French door and are not curtained, the third one has curtains drawn across. Framed certificates are on either side of the door. The photographs were donated from the Subiaco Library Archives. Fuller details on attached data sheet.
