COLE, Gwen

Gwen Cole joined Melville Glades with her son Les as a foundation member along with several other Royal Fremantle Golf Club members. They were encouraged to do so by several of the club’s founders who were also RFGC members. At that time the land tenure on which the RFGC existed was unsure.

 

After several years with membership at both clubs, Gwen resigned from MGGC and continued at RFGC after the club’s land tenure had been confirmed. Her membership there was long and well respected in both golf achievements and club service aspects to the extent she was awarded Life Membership at RFGC.

 

Gwen’s picture was taken during a celebration of her 96th birthday in 2026.
