Collections WA brings together collections from libraries, galleries, museums, archives, historical societies, cultural organisations, community groups and other collecting organisations across Western Australia.

COLE, Lester (Les)

Lester, known as Les, was one of a very small number of people who were juniors when they joined MGGC as foundation members.

Les’ photograph was taken during a celebration of his mother Gwen’s 96th birthday in 2026.

(Information taken from a personal conversation with Max Hannah who retained a long friendship with the Cole family. Max also arranged to obtain the photographs of Les and his mother Gwen.)
