BARNES, William Graham (Bill)

The primary photograph shows Bill is his MGGC Board jacket and gold tie which is assumed to have been taken when he was MGGC President in 1982-83.

 

Another has Bill speaking to the microphone at what appears to be the annual presentation of men's golfing trophies. The date of this photograph is likely to be whilst he was Captain in 1977-78.

 

Similarly, Bill was Captain in the photograph with him presenting Tony Naughtin with a trophy for winning the men's 1977 club championship.

 

The last with Bill in a green MGGC pennant tee shirt is likely to be circa 1977 based on other pennant photographs of that year. It captures Bill with an intense stare that reflected his approach into executing his roles in the club's Committees.
