Men's Foursomes Championship (Nett)
1978 -
The Men's Foursomes Championship (Nett) was originally a 36 hole stroke event up to 2007. Subsequently it has been played over 18 holes due to declining interest in the foursomes golf format and the appeal of a shorter playing period.
The winners of this event have been extracted from summaries in the club's annual reports. Results from this source are only available since 2010. Earlier results are being progressively researched from club newsletters and other potential resources.
The 2009 winners, Noel Cassidy and Bruce Woodward, were determined after a personal conversation between Noel and History and Heritage Committee member Frank Davies.
There is no trophy or honour board associated with this event.
