About organisation
A lovingly curated online and physical museum preserving the charm, craftsmanship, and nostalgia of vintage dolls, toys, and childhood treasures.
My Doll Cottage houses a private collection spanning over a century of play — from delicate bisque dolls and wind-up toys to handcrafted doll furniture and the everyday wonders once found in children’s bedrooms around the world. Built on the lifelong passion of Sharon Hovey, and lovingly supported by her family, this collection honours the artistry, imagination, and stories of generations past.
The physical museum, located in Leschenault, Western Australia, is open to visitors by appointment only.
At My Doll Cottage, we believe toys are more than playthings — they are cultural artefacts, memory-keepers, and tiny reflections of the worlds children once knew. Our mission is to preserve this heritage and share it with future generations through a carefully photographed and documented online archive.
Take a step back in time, explore our growing collection, and discover the quiet beauty hidden in each tiny hand, faded box, and well-loved face.
