Overview

Fragment of cylindrical white jar with clear glaze. On outside black label. Bottom half of a figure in robes sitting on a throne. Text to the right of throne.

Historical information

The fragment appears to have been for a jar or pot.

Combined with the other fragment it is likely that the item was made in the United Kingdom and imported as a medicine of some sort.

It would have been thrown away into the rubbish pit when it had no use.
