Along the left hand side of the pennant in yellow lettering is "SPECIAL AWARD". To the right of the Australian Coat of Arms in blue lettering is "17th" followed in blue lettering "Security Loan" and underneath this is "March-April 1953" and below this in white lettering is "KATANNING-BROOMEHILL".
