CLUB COMMUNICATION - COURSE SUPERINTENDENT - KIKUYU GRASS SPRAYING - WINTER 2022

These two communications from Course Superintendent Dane McBride detail the broad scale spraying of the invasive kikuyu grass on various parts of the course during the winter of 2022.

Prior to this kikuyu spraying had been focused on ensuring that golf playing surfaces, nominally fairways and tees, were kept clear. This was generally performed using hand spraying of outbreaks. However, there were many large areas of kikuyu outside of these areas, particularly in the light rough.
