STEERING COMMITTEE MINUTE BOOK 1966-1968

This book contains 95 pages of minutes of the club's Steering Committee for the period 29/5/1966 to 13/2/1968.

The book title reflects the fact that the name of the club had not been chosen at this stage and was simply named 'Melville Area Golf Club Project'. The latter portion of the contents from 29/05/67 to 13/02/68 are replicated in the formal minutes in the Council of Management Books after the club had been named and incorporated. However, there are some unique pages in this original book including meeting agenda and notes, such as those from the inaugural greenkeeper, Terry McGovern.

This book itself appears to be some form of accounting ledger with the typed minutes pasted into it. It has an off-white exterior and dark blue woven spine.
