Peter Reynolds and his wife Harriet (nee Kenworthy) and one child came to the colony on the "Berkshire" in 1855. Originally they settled in the Avon Valley, but by 1865 had moved north.
Peter was landlord of “The Traveller’s Rest” Hotel, at Bookara, located south of Greenough on the road to Dongara.
