Hackett Shield
1902Wood shield with metal labels
The Challenge Shield was presented by The Hon J W Hackett LLD MLC to the National Rifle Association for competition between the rifle clubs of Western Australia. This shield was competed for between 1902 and 1904. A second Shield was subsequently used in later years.

One of the earliest inter club competition trophies for the WARA. Donated by a leading businessman and politician who also funded the foundation of the University of WA.
