GENERAL EMBROIDERY, TEA CLOTH, SERVIETTES
There are three levels of embroidery. An octagonal design in the centre comprises four ladder like bands in green from which basket like motifs face inwards. On the outer rim are scallops worked in dark apple green stem stich and a little asymmetrical scroll motif between each scallop – 5 motifs on the longer sides and 2 on the shorter sides. Closer to the centre is an octagonal band ladder like design in apple green on which stand larger symmetrical scrolled motifs like those in the centre – 5 on longer sides and 2 on shorter sides.
A neat, narrow tatted edging has been whipped onto the neatened double crochet edge. This simple edging complements the ornate interior and colourful design.
The serviettes have a similar motif to those on the outer edge, but smaller in size, in one corner.
