Harry Barrett
c. 1914A sepia head and shoulders oval photograph of a man in Australian service uniform wearing a hat with emu feathers. The man has a moustache, and there is a 'The Rising Sun' badge on the left hand side of the collar. The photograph is mounted on brown cardboard.
Harry Barrett served in the First World War in the 10th Light Horse Regiments, his service number was 188. On the embarkation rolls his occupation was listed as Livery-stable keeper.

In the bottom right of the card in gold lettering is written 'Frank Martyn. Coolgardie' The word Coolgardie has been crossed out and replaced with 'Katanning' in black ink.
On the back of the photograph handwritten in black ink is "Harry Barett 1914-15"
Harry Barrett owned property in Richardson Street later to become Wakes Garage. He ran a livery stable and wood yard from the property.
