POSTCARD: PORTRAIT OF BERNA AND RAY ABELMAN

Image: The photograph shows one sister sitting down, with the other standing behind her, resting a hand on her shoulder. The standing sister is wearing a skirt, which is belted at the waist, and a short bolero-type jacket with large buttons, with a wide white collar and cuffs, over a white lace blouse, with a choker of pearls around her neck. She has long curly hair.
Her sister wears a dark dress with sleeves puffed to the elbow and tight to the wrist. The dress bodice is cut into a 'V' at the front with lace trimming down to the waistline, and a high-necked white lace blouse underneath. She has a pendant around her neck. Her hair is long and curly with a white ribbon above the left eye. The girls' parents owned a shop in Rokeby Road.
