A black and white photograph of a brick house with a tin roof and verandah on three sides. There is a woman on a horse on the left hand side and a young man on a horse on the right hand side of the photograph. Sitting on the verandah is the rest of the family. In front of the house is a wire and timber fence.

The second Cherry Tree Pool School opened in the home of Mr and Mr Solly in 1908.

Inscriptions and markings

On the back of the photograph at the top handwritten in black ink which is faded is "From Left to right(mounted) Edie, Clare, Sid, Mr Solly, Dorothy, Jack, Keith, Mrs Solly, Reg and Ben."

On the back of the photograph handwritten in blue ink is "Photograph of the 2nd school at Cherry Tree Pool. It was opened at the home of Mr &Mrs Solly in 1908. Presented by Mrs A.M. Spackman (nee Alice Danahir). 2nd School with FIRST first teacher 1917-1918. Mr Sparks lived in house. NORMAN DAVIS OWNED LAND."
