PHOTOGRAPH: 'HOOD STREET FIRE'

Subcollections
Overview

A coloured photograph of a fire in a building on Hood Street. The building was made of brown bricks with a brown tiled roof. The walls of the building are still standing. However, the roof has been set aflame and the interior of the building is also on fire. Smoke is emerging from the windows and the roof of the building. To the left of the house there is a yellow street sign of which visible lettering reads 'NO ENTRY'. The spire of St Joseph's church is visible in the background on the right side of the image.
Reverse: There is a handwritten inscription in black ink which reads 'Fire at Midalia and Benn, Hood St, Jolimont'.
