A photograph of Townshend Road facing North towards Subiaco Oval, taken from the corner of Townshend Road and Hay Street. The Subiaco Oval Stadium is visible in the distance on the right side of the road. Townshend Road is not paved - instead the road is made of compressed yellow sand. On the left side of the Road, the building on the corner of Townshend Road and Hay Street is prominent. It is a white curved building with blue lettering that reads 'MOTORSPORT'. Underneath this, white lettering on a red background reads 'AMERICAN CARS NEW/USED'. There is a white car parked outside this shop. The footpath on this side of the road has been torn up. In the bottom right corner of the image a red date stamp reads '26 11 '87'.
