Overview

The 2010-2011 Baseball WA Ltd Annual Report is a hard-copy, 118-page, stapled document, printed on white paper. The front and back covers are of gloss, medium-weight card. Historical information

Baseball WA Ltd was formed as at 5 May 1999 with the amalgamation of West Australian Baseball League Inc. (WABL) and the Baseball Development Foundation Inc. (BDF).

Baseball WA (BWA) formally assumed the undertakings of West Australian Junior Baseball Inc. (WAJBL) as at 30 June 2000. Practical assumption of operations occurred as at 1 July 1999.

Contextual Information

In 2010-11 the partnership between the Australian Baseball Federation (ABF), Major League Baseball (MLB) and the Australian Sports Commission saw the beginning of the Australian Baseball League (ABL) as Australia's premier professional baseball competition. The ABL consisted of teams from Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra and Perth in a 40-game competition.

This report is a valuable source of information in the development of baseball over a 12-month period and highlights the successful 2010-11 season of the Alcohol Think Again Perth Heat team, the inaugural ABL National Champions.
