Historical information

In 1961 Jack Sheedy coached Western Australia to a famous title at the 1961 Australian Rules Football Carnival in Brisbane.

John Bruce Sinclair (known as Bruce Sinclair) played for Claremont Football Club from 1957-1960 and then East Perth in 1962 and 1963. In 1961 Bruce was temporary teacher at Belmont High School.

Pictured during a training run in the high school grounds last week, State football coach, Jack Sheedy, passes on some advice to former Claremont league footballer, schoolteacher Bruce Sinclair, watched by keen pupil, Peter Humphrys. Sheedy was instructing about 50 schoolteachers at the physical education summer school at present being held in Bunbury.
