Historical information

Alexander George Robinson was born 1911, and lived most of his life in Greenbushes.

Alexander lived with his aunt and uncle Selina and Ross Jarvis at 34 Charles Street, Bunbury while he attended high school. He was the youngest of 8, and the only one to go to high school

In 1926 an A. Robinson won the senior mile in a time of 5 minutes 3 3/5 seconds, lowering the previous record time by 5 seconds. This record stood until 1940 when Theo Joel (the 1940 Senior Athletics Champion) completed the mile in 4 minutes 48 1/5 seconds.
