ANNUAL INTER HOUSE SWIMMING CARNIVAL
Well it was Mitchell by 10 points from Forrest. An exciting and cliffhanging finish, one that was always in doubt right up to the last relay. Clifton was third, followed by Wollaston.
Where was it won? Statistics show that it was the Mitchell girls who scored highest of all whilst the boys of Mitchell scored lowest of all. A look at the individual champions shows this to be the case as well.
Records tumbled during the day — many in the 50 metre events but notable performances were Daniel Fogarty in the 100m 12yrs freestyle, Michael Wauchope 12yrs 100m breastroke, the 12/U medley relay won by the Forrest boys, Neil Webster in the 12yrs 50m butterfly and the 12yrs Forrest boys again breaking the freestyle relay record.
For the girls, records were harder to find but the 13yrs Clifton girls broke the medley relay record and also the Mitchell girls in the 14yrs medley relay.
