Small landscape oriented booklet from Industrial Extracts, titled "Myrtan Eucalyptus/Wood tanning extracts."
The booklet is a promotitional document, with 16 pages containing information, photographs etc.
On the back is the address "Industrial Extracts Ltd/169 Havelock Street/West Perth/Western Australia/Cables Index Perth"
The booklet is a grey/green with yellow and orange design on cover.

Historical information

Promotional 16 page booklet published in the 1950s by Industrial Extracts Ltd.
The product being promoted is named Myrtan which was produced from the tannin extracted from timber after it was reduced to fine chips. It was produced in either a solid extract or a spray dried powder.
Myrtan was used for tanning leather.

Industrial Extracts was a subsidiary company of Plaimar, and was formed in about 1935.
The major factory was at Boddingon, Western Australia. Two mills there worked 24 hours a day during WW2 to meet the national demand for tanning extract.
