Herbert 'Bert' Tyler was an active member of the City of Armadale community from 1976 through to his death in 2017. Bert, Beryl and their children moved to Kelmscott in 1976 onto a block of land big enough for Bert to build a shed where he could indulge his passion for restoring machinery. It was around this time Bert joined the Machinery Preservation Club of Western Australia, an organisation that he would eventually become a life member off.
