Wooden Rigging Pulley
This is a wooden pulley block that would have been used in the rigging of sails of a ship. The pully block appears to have been constructed of 7 carved bits of wood that have been screwed together to hold in place 2 small carved wooden pully wheels. The rope rigging which held the sails would have been fed through these pulleys and used to tighten or loosen the sail setting.
