World War 2, Western Australia, Rottnest Island, Coast Artillery Instrumentation, Battery Plotting Room Switch
Battery Plotting Room Switch (Wall Mounted). This instrument was instituted for counter bombardment batteries like Oliver Hill equipped with magslip transmission. Range and bearing inputs could be obtained from the miniature range, the battery coordinate converter or two depression range finders in the Battery Observation Post. This Switch enabled the Battery Commander to transmit firing data to the elevation and traverse receivers at the guns via the fire direction table.
