Contextual Information

The competition was first won by Steve Tuckey 1985 and the final winner was Des Tyler in 2003. Bisley Style shooting follows the practice of target shooting at the Bisley range in the UK. The annual prize meeting at Bisley is considered to be the world championships. Bisley style shooting is where 3 and sometimes 4 shooters lay next to each other on the mound and take their turn to shoot at the same target. It requires considerably more skill than the standard practice of each shooter exclusively shooting at a target.
