Overview

A trophy consisting of a plastic figure upon a wooden base. It is afixed to the base via a gold and blue plastic bowl which connects to a metal nut on the underside of the base.

She is holding a ball in both hands above her head and making a jumping pose.

On the front of the base of the trophy is a plaque with engraving. The engraving reads [SWAN DISTRICTS NETBALL ASSOC. / Primary School Carnival 1985 / 11 12yrs BLUE DIVISION WINNERS].

Historical information

Karragullen Primary School started in 1891 by the Canning Sawmill for the children of its employees. In 1913 the state school was opened at Illawarra Orchard. In 1920 the school was moved to Brookton Highway to be closer to where families were establishing new orchards.

Due to falling student numbers the school was closed at the end of 1999. After the closure children in the area would attend schools in Roleystone.
